LUNGSHER KANGRI (6666 m.)

Lungsher Kangri (6666 m) is named after the river by the same name which drains into the Tso Moriri Lake in the Rupshu area. The climb to the summit is technical for the first hour and moderate later on.

Route  7 days/ 8 nights

Day 1 – Leh to Tsomoriri
7 hrs. drive to Peldo near Tsomoriri Lake. Overnight at camp.

Day 2 – Peldo to Skyurchu
4-5 hrs. trek to Skyurchu. Overnight in Camp.

Day 3 – Skyurchu to base camp (4600m.)
6 hrs. trek to base camp. Overnight at camp.

Day 4 – Base camp to high camp
4-5 hrs. trek to the high camp (5700m.). Overnight at camp.

Day 5 – High camp – summit – base camp
We start early around 3 am, it takes around 4 hrs. to reach the summit. We get back to base camp at 5600m. Overnight at camp.

Day 6 – Base camp to Peldo
6-7 hrs. trek to Peldo. Overnight at camp.

Day 7 – Peldo to Leh
7 hrs. drive to Leh.
